Condolences
It is with deep and profound regret we must announce the death of our dear friend and colleague, Jeremy Dufton. Jeremy passed away during the afternoon of 1st January 2021 after a period of ill health. He leaves his dear wife Dawn, his beloved son Adam and step son James . Jeremy joined Thorntons Investments in August 2015, as Head of our Discretionary Investment Team, having spent much of his investment career based in Yorkshire. He made an immediate impact on the business after his arrival and his energy and enthusiasm drove the business onwards to much success. In recent times he was forced to take a step back from his leadership role but still fiercely argued for what he believed in and made a great contribution to the company. He will be fondly remembered and much missed by his colleagues within Thorntons Investments but also by the broader investment community in the East of Scotland and throughout the UK.
